Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Keepworth (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use the App

Beacon Light Investments grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Keepworth on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the App Store's or Google Play's applicable usage rules.

3. Your Content

Everything you enter into Keepworth — inventory records, photos, maintenance logs, appliance and contractor information, and claim or loss records — is yours. It is stored locally on your device. We do not access, host, or claim any ownership over your content. See our Privacy Policy for full details, including how to export or permanently delete it.

4. Purchases

Keepworth offers a free tier with generous limits and a single, one-time "Keepworth Pro" purchase that removes those limits and unlocks full claim reconciliation and PDF/CSV export. This is not a subscription and does not auto-renew or recur. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are governed entirely by the App Store's or Google Play's own refund policies — Beacon Light Investments does not process payments or refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

6. Not Insurance, Legal, or Financial Advice

Keepworth is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any insurance company, agent, or adjuster. It does not file, submit, or negotiate a claim on your behalf, does not evaluate or guarantee coverage under any insurance policy, and does not provide legal, insurance, tax, or financial advice. The Claims module organizes figures and documents you enter and performs arithmetic on them (for example, subtracting a deductible or depreciation from a value you provide) — it does not verify that any figure is correct, complete, or consistent with your actual policy. You are solely responsible for reviewing anything Keepworth helps you organize before relying on it, submitting it to an insurer, or making any decision based on it.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Beacon Light Investments does not warrant that the App's records, calculations, or exported documents are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular claim, policy, or legal proceeding.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Light Investments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss of data stored on your device, or any outcome of an insurance claim, dispute, or legal matter you use the App to help organize.

9. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If these Terms change materially, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Data already stored locally on your device remains yours; use "Delete All My Data" in Settings to remove it before uninstalling if you want it erased rather than merely left on the device.
